I would not recommend walmart+. Seems like about 75% of the items I want they either won't ship or require a scheduled delivery (which usually either requires or strongly requests a tip). I honestly find myself hardly ever using walmart+ because of this caveat. I'll be discontinuing my service next go-round if that doesn't change. Feel like it was a bait and switch when they promised free shipping and then it turned out it was only on select items.

Not sure but I always find Walmart a bit wonky.

I don't have the + account and I wanted to order an $1 item for pickup. It was not available but free delivery was available. They had someone drive from a neighboring Walmart just to deliver me a $1 item. Not that I'm complaining. I think the gas and time of the employee exceeds that $1 item. Lol

Do they ask you to tip on non grocery orders below $35?
No. Only grocery delivery orders, that have $35 min also, have an option to tip. Just like amazon fresh or whole food deliveries.

The non grocery delivery orders have no $35 min and no tipping option, just like amazon prime deliveries

Does anyone else get the option for the 1-time annual payment of the supposed "$57"? I just shows the $6.50 per month option on my end.

Yup. And many cheap people on here won't tip them. Tip your driver or get off your butt and go get it I say.
If you have to tip the driver then what is the point to pay for Walmart+ annual fee ?

I agree. That's why I don't pay for it.

The problem is that it's also not clear when a driver should be tipped. I've had at least a few purchases for "Shipping" end up being switched post transaction to "Delivery".

And in some of those cases, the order is being split between 2 delivery drivers picking up from different stores.

It's an unclear screwy system.

That is what I am saying. Walmart Inhome [walmart.com] is different. It is Walmart employees for sure. You do time slots different as well. Like 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm kind of thing.
InHome is not available in my area. There is a Walmart within two miles of me. WTF?

I got the pop-up after logging in, took a screenshot of it and then went on my way while I read comments and did work. Now I can't figure out how to give it back. I've gone to https://www.walmart.com/plus/offer-list and the banner doesn't show up.

The best thing about Walmart + is that you get an accurate store price of an item. Without the membership, the regular scanner will either give you the non sale/clearance price or will say the item is not available in store even though you are standing right there in front of a shelf full of it.

Would be great if someone could post the link to the actual offer, i.e. the underlying link from the banner instead of the site that may or may not show the banner.

Grocery deliveries and free shipping are two different things. It's just like Prime.

The tip option is for grocery deliveries. Even Amazon has that on their Amazon fresh or Whole food delivery part. So does instacart. They all have annual fee. They all offer free deliveries. But they all have tip options.

There is no tip option on many other walmart stuff that are not considered under grocery and have free shipping with no min. The non grocery delivery orders have no $35 min and no tipping option, just like amazon prime deliveries.

I know W+ system of deliveries is not as clear as Amazon. It's new and is not well explained. And you can choose not to tip. But the tipping system under W+ is exactly same as other companies.

Exactly, that's the most significant benefit of W+, which no one mentions, ever.

There is too much misinformation in this thread. Tipping is optional and not required on delivered items.

I think Walmart+ is a good service if you are having a baby, sick or for some reasons, you can't go to a grocery store easily.

I tired free trial membership last year. I saw myself buying things I didn't really need because it was so easy to get free shipping with no minimum. I did like Walmart+ Rewards, though. I saw there were some rewards on toys like Lego sets during Christmas time.

Another note. We have Amazon Prime membership, and I am loving Prime First Read program which gives members one early released Kindle books free per month (value $5). Sometimes, we can get 2 ebooks free in a month. Also, Amazon Prime membership includes Prime Reading which is like a smaller version of Kindle Unlimited. I think you can borrow up to 10 Kindle books at a time for free. I have saved a lot of money on these Prime ebook programs. (My library does not carry some ebooks/books that are part of Amazon Prime ebook programs.) Also, getting no-rush shipping digital credits from Amazon is a huge benefit for me. I earn about $80+ digital credits per year, mostly from Christmas time. (I use the digital credits on ebooks and movies. Amazon used to let the digital credits apply towards Playstation Plus digital membership a few years ago which made a nice Christmas gift to kids one year.)
