I would not recommend walmart+. Seems like about 75% of the items I want they either won't ship or require a scheduled delivery (which usually either requires or strongly requests a tip). I honestly find myself hardly ever using walmart+ because of this caveat. I'll be discontinuing my service next go-round if that doesn't change. Feel like it was a bait and switch when they promised free shipping and then it turned out it was only on select items.

Not sure but I always find Walmart a bit wonky.

I don't have the + account and I wanted to order an $1 item for pickup. It was not available but free delivery was available. They had someone drive from a neighboring Walmart just to deliver me a $1 item. Not that I'm complaining. I think the gas and time of the employee exceeds that $1 item. Lol

Walmart online website is just like going into the store all mixed up with crazy stuff happening.
For example that comes to mind. This happens frequently "Uh-oh...This page could not be found" with a creepy looking associate cartoon character looking at ya with binoculars. Often i refresh the page and the page shows up.
All the prices seem jacked up even above considering inflation.
Right now i am looking for a 5 year warranty i purchased at Walmart. It showed up before when i searched order purchases history before. now i get the moron "Uh-oh...This page could not be found"

I had this for a few months and really liked it for some small items, but there are far too many things that have a substantially higher online price to compensate for the fact that you're going to get free shipping. I have the offer but don't know that I'll bother with it. Considering it for the paid-plan Walmart+ exclusive deals that happened around Black Friday as I could probably save the subscription cost just in that week alone this year.

Do we have to wait until our existing Walmart+ membership expires? I have 22 days left on mine, but went ahead and cancelled it so I might see some retention offer after that time? Good tip for the future.

As Amazon continues to dominate and Wal-Mart improves Walmart+, Target is going to have a hard time finding a reason to live.

I tip $5 each time whether I'm buying $40 in groceries or $140 in groceries. Since it takes 8 minutes to drive to the store and another 8 driving home, not to mention fuel, etc, it's an absolute no brainer for me.
Not to mention the fuel? Do you drive a semi truck?

I usually pickup about $300 in groceries in a month from them that fills up my SUV. They'll actually deliver that to me for $6.50 a month? Do they bring it in the house or place it on the porch?
Walmart InHome will take it into your house for you, and even put it away for you! It's $138 a year so a bit more expensive.

Tip free too!

Walmart+ at least in my city, is fantastic. I use it all the time since having a baby, saves me from having to run to the store, gets to my house pretty quickly, use them for heavy things like water bottles.

Great to know! Amazon deliveries don't require tipping, so this makes Walmart+ uncompetitive.

Also , tipping culture lately has gotten out of control, with people expecting a tip just for doing their fully compensated jobs.

How does Walmart+ compare to Amazon Prime?
what were you able to find out when you did a little bit of research and compared the plans yourself?

W+ works for many of my needs (and my small business' as well), perhaps to 70% ish?
the rest we get stuff from amazon, target and local stores.

W+ has very competitive price advantage over amz on many items, and portion their delivery is actually better than amz.

what I don't like about their delivery method is, they can split your order into multiple deliveries, and mix-match items after your order them.

still, W+ is my go to store, instead of amz especially since amz is more costly now. even their 2 days shipping becomes 3-4 days, consistently.

but amz beats w+ in the cloud department. free videos, music etc.

so YMMV depending on the items you usually order. unless you are comparing W+ (shopping only) against amz (shopping + cloud services), then it's no brainer amz FTW.

Use Walmart+ daily. Sometimes an item is out of stock but normally never have an issue ever.

Walmart vs Amazon: one issue you must consider if you live rural:

unless your town has a dedicated Amazon delivery - Amazon Prime uses the USPS for the final delivery. USPS won't bring packages larger than a rural mailbox to your door - even if it's 20 feet away.

Walmart however always uses FedEx and they do a great job here. BIG issue for many small towns and rural customers.
4 ways to fix USPS not brining your packages directly to your front door.
#1 Make friends with your local mail carrier be extra nice and request to have front door deliveries, during holidays do gifts cards small amounts tape them to front door or leave inside mailbox with card.
#2 If that doesn't fix anything anything head down to your local Post Office where your local USPS driver departs from and talk to post master (he's the boss) that usually fixes it
#3 If your local Post Master is not nice file a complaint on the phone with USPS (I have successfully done this and now my Post Master treats me with respect)
#4 Last resort order things with Signature Confirmation extra $2-3 per package and than they are forced to come to your front door to sign it, they have GPS in their handheld and hq tracks it to make sure they actually attempt a front door for a signature because in the past lazy USPS workers weren't attempting delivery for signature delivery and just marking no one home on their handheld device

I ordered a 25 cent ruler once for shipping, was too lazy to drive 10 mins back and forth each way. Instead of shipping it, they had someone pick it up from the store and deliver it to my house the same evening.
