Willow is the worst app ever to watch cricket. ESPN+ was really good and so was Hotstar.

Even after adding a card, TC is asking me to link a bank account via Plaid to get 3 months Willow TV free. One of the actions it is asking to authorize is to read bank statements. Ain't gonna do that. Better to sail the high seas on a ship called VPN.

I am able to signup into the app using visa gift card with $0 balance. But willow is not free for 3 months. You need to subscribe for WillowTV for 3 months and app will give you cash back. I would have signed up if this was a reputed app but never heard this app before.

Most often what could happen is, Willow would ask you to buy Sling service at a discounted price to watch World Cup. This happened last time as well. I moved on to ESPN for that reason.

I've been using Willow TV HD via Apple TV for 4-5yrs now and never had any issues. ESPN+ is undoubtedly good too but not all series are on ESPN.

Hotstar was poor with streaming initially they improved it later and now disappeared.

Willow periodically offers $45 annual plan which is very cheap and worth every penny. 😀
