Yeah it's $5 more, but you don't have to shuck it and do the pin mod.
looks like the current findings for 14tb is:
$200 - easy store - 2yr warranty
$205 - red plus - 3yr warranty
$210 - red pro - 5yr warranty.
If other sellers will do the red plus for 210, thats the best deal. The extra 3yr warranty is well worth the extra $10

i had an nzxt h510, with a wd black in there. Was obnoxiously noisy. I switched to a fractal torrent and cant hear a thing.
I've got a mix of WD Golds, Red Pro's, Whites, and Seagate X18's in my media server in a fractal define 7....cant hear any of the drives when they spin up.
In my experience, red pro's arent any more noisy over golds/whites/seagates.
I tried the 18TB Pro's, but they have an incredibly annoying high-pitched noise I couldn't stand even in my fractal case. The 14TB has been whisper quiet and so far no issues.
Bonus is since these aren't a bundle deal, I was able to use my 15% recycle coupon on them to knock them down to $177 each ($12.69/TB)
Thank you!
easystore's have a 2 year warranty
that alone is worth the extra $5
In my opinion hard drive warranties are worthless. If it stops working you've already lost your data (if you didn't back up) and they'll just send you a refurb.

So I would use this as NAS and I have an 8tb for over 3 years no problem. You are saying I am SOL if it fails one day no way to recover? Are you saying I should backup my backups???
In my experience, red pro's arent any more noisy over golds/whites/seagates.

There is a pin that needs to disabled so power is correctly supplied to the drive when you shuck it. Depends on the PC or NAS that you shuck to.
