I have a Vera 3 and really like it, but it's basically out of support for Fitbit/Google. The Fitbit 4 and Sense 2 are the only ones getting any sort of new features these days.

Because they're the latest models. They recently got the ability to use Google pay over Fitbit pay, but none of the others did.

I am taking a look at the price history on Amazon and this seems to be normal price. Doesn't seem like a deal to me, but not a bad option if you need it. If you have an iPhone, Apple Watch SE's usually go on sale around this price.
