good deal but take into account this model can't switch between different heads, so you'll need a dedicated edger or other tools. I have this one and really like it

I believe Costco only has Greenworks, but I could be wrong. I decided to pick a brand for outdoor tools this year and decided on Ego after lots of research. There is a good video on Youtube [youtube.com]where they tested all the electric string trimmers and found Ego to be near the top and Greenworks in last place.

That's correct. If the price of the different heads were cheaper than buying a new unit I would have went with the multi tool, but I found that the cost of each head is almost the price of a tool only. Maybe I save some space with the multi, but I don't think much money if at all.

Edit: multi tool head for 1500 trimmer : $139 [amazon.com]

Full String trimmer: $137 [amazon.com]

That's highly misleading wording from them.

The Carbon Fiber Shaft itself has a "lifetime warranty." The rest of the tool has a 1-year warranty. With new (aka not refurbished) you're getting 3-year/5-year warranties if you register your tool.
