CIT is a division of First Citizens Bank and Trust Co.
Didn't First Citizens just acquire the assets of SVB?
4.80% is good for a no-penalty CD.
For a normal CD, Marcus is offering a 10-month 5.05%.
CIT also has a savings account for 4.75% if you put in more than $5k. Keep in mind that CIT is notorious for creating new savings products with higher rates and reducing the rates of old ones without telling you.
Ally needs to match this. They just lowered theirs to 4.35% from 4.75%.

Just confirming - I've opened multiple bank accounts over the last year for checking account bonuses, and NONE of them have affected my credit.

Granted, this is a CD and not a checking account, but it's still not a line of credit - you're giving them money - so it won't affect your score.
Thanks, I figured it wouldn't be an issue since like you said, I'm giving them money. Do you know if I can have two CDs under the same account?

To me, CIT is better because you aren't' locked in for 10 months and it's just a 0.2% difference between the two.

the Marcus ball sachz is 5.15% I believe, but for 10 months. I already did the 4.8% no penalty, but im thinking of throwing a small amount into the sachz account as well.

Thumbs up. Good for people currently in a no penalty cd to open a new account at the higher rate (assuming 7 days have passed from original account opening)

Marcus has regular saving account at 5.15% for at least 3months through referral, or 5.25% if you have aarp membership. No minimal and lock in. Isn't it better than this offering?

The interest rate on that savings account can fluctuate and change at any time to something less and for no real reason. And believe me, it will. CD's lock in your interest rate.
