Why buy a 1000+ dollar computer , when Walmart sells them for 150 dollars? You can run games on low settings.
Why buy a 4k TV when Target has TVs for 300 dollars. A TV is a TV, Why do you need the extra fancy stuff?
People don't spend more money on function alone, they spend money on quality with function.
A 1k dollar used car has the same purpose as a 100k car, the difference is quality. In this case, if you like your hair, you should probably take care of it.
A 10 dollar blow dryer has one purpose, make things hot; that's it. It only has one function/setting on the machine...hot. Basic science tells us, uncontrolled heat + organic material = melt.

👆🏽And this is why people end up with hair like that link. It's also why salons aren't rushing to buy 10 dollar hair dryers and flat irons.
The cheap comes out expensive.
The one you linked is great for projects around the house, or if you need to heat something up. Not hair.

No company is putting tourmaline or ceramic in a 10 dollar hair drier.

Good question. The Revlon has a cool air button which some people use after drying with a heat setting to "set" their hair. A hair stylist would be able to explain better than me.

Why would a hair dryer not be good for hair? The rest of us want to know why we're going to buy this and throw our $10 dryers out

I don't know if you really want to be informed, or just using the opportunity to soapbox about nothing. Regardless, take these scenarios:

I actually wanna know! I knew you were going to get defensive about my question so I tried to make it as welcoming as I could, people are so sensitive. I have the exact $10 dryer he linked, is this OP dryer going to be a big upgrade to that? I use it on my beard everyday and I do know the heat damage it will get. My old dryer was left at my ex's house and I used it recently noticed that it was less hot and quieter which may be what I needed. But what's this ceramic and tourmaline thing about
Lol. I wrote a sentence about if you're actually asking a legitimate question and you seem to have gotten upset about it. It's not that serious, I don't have a stock in Revlon, you should keep whatever you have.
That being said, you're using it on your beard, I don't think you need to invest much more.

A $10 one is probably 1,500 watts and will work on a 15-amp breaker. This one is 1,875 watts so you need 20+ amp breakers to not blow em
Anecdotal experience. As a guy who cares for his hair, I used to use $30 dryers thinking that was enough. My ex gfs all used $100 - $200 dryers which I would occasionally borrow. They left my hair with a silky smoothness that my $30 unit could not match. I have since then become a believer in hair dryer tech.
