Ten different brands were initially identified as possibly linked to the outbreak, the CDC said. Eyedrops that are made in India and imported to the US under two brands were subsequently pulled from shelves in January and February.
In January, the CDC warned people to stop using EzriCare Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma's Artificial Tears. The next month, the company that owns the brands - Global Pharma - issued a voluntary recall following a formal recommendation from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

As could happen with meat, vegetables, milk, etc. — virtually any product you don't make yourself. What's your point?
As is the risk of eating lettuce, which has had numerous significant recalls in the past.
Blink products are absolutely fine!
People are just nuts bc of that one brand that recently had a recall—-one manufacturer/brand (& I think just one product?) out of *how many* brands???
...And I had never heard of "EzriCare" products before the recall...as I learned that's the brand to *actually* look out for.
I saw that 2 other brands ("Apotex", & "Purely Soothing") VOLUNTARILY recalled a couple lots of their products just to be safe (with one, of all things it was bc of cracks in the caps), but, again, they weren't any brands I've ever heard/seen in all my years of wearing contacts.
(Actually, I've gotten (really crappy) prescription meds from Apotex in the past, but nothing related to the eyes...I try to stay away from their products just bc they don't work as well as others, & they use shitty materials imo)
For those concerned about eye drops. The recalled ones where people were getting infections were multi dose vials without preservative. No idea how that got to market.
Username checks out.

Colgate optic white also has some coupons. I added 2 and 1 Blink. Total with tax $4.74 and free pickup. Walgreens is also on cashback portals.
I've been wearing contacts for 22+ years…I rarely use the hydrogen peroxide cleaners. Normally I just stick to the multi-purpose solutions like opti-free or whatever brand is on sale. I use the hydrogen peroxide cleaners every once in awhile, but mostly it's just the general purpose cleaner.
Mostly I think it's just getting used to wearing them and making sure you have a brand that fits your eye well. It took me getting used to, sensitivities with "is it on right" etc, but at this point, I don't even remember if they're in most of the time
