Picked one up – decent price for the time of season. Walmart has a 90-day return policy so there's options if there are deeper discounts later (e.g. Costco 450 for 4ah+2ah)

Also, check your electric company for rebates. Mine gives $100 on electric cordless lawn mowers.

Looks like this is an older version than Costco sells, but not sure of the actual differences other than the handle. I think bestbuy had the newer version on sale too recently, so Costco must be coming up.

Looking at purchasing the Costco model mentioned in the OP. Does that typically go on sale for $450 around this time of year? Also, are these pretty good electric mowers?

Not sure about the differences but I bought mine (model GLM801602) 2 years ago when it was a flash sale from Amazon for 254 dollars and this thing is fantastic, so easy to maneuver, powerful and has been holding perfectly all this time. As a side note, the battery wasn't charging properly so I contacted customer service and had a great experience with them sending me a second 80v battery for free, happens it wasn't the battery but the charger,.and nowadays both batteries and charger are working good not sure why. Highly recommended.

Currently $499 at my Costco with 2 4Ah batteries, charger, and an extra mulching blade. I bought one last year and at that time they had an extended 8-year warranty on the batteries.

The Costco deal is better IMO, due to the extra battery, especially if the extended battery warranty is still valid. The performance is good, it doesn't mulch as well as my old 6.5 HP Kohler-powered one, but good overall and much quieter, and no gas to store and oil to change.

Tulsa, OK. It may be "In Store Only" in some areas. If you have a Costco nearby, give them a call. I already have one, so I didn't look closely as I walked by, just assuming it is the same deal they had last year when I bought it.

Last year I think was in November which I passed on. The Walmart deal was good enough for me to pull the trigger because I'll need it in May. If a better deal comes my way, I can return it for up to 90-days.

80v self propelled with 4ah battery, probably looking at 15-20 minutes per battery with self propelled feature enabled.

Looks like the one at costco has lights at the front. Specs wise it looks more or less the same.

Who is buying electric lawnmowers? This just seems like a bad idea.

Gonna love the inevitable expose on where dead batteries get dumped. Remember when environmentalists said using too much paper was bad? Now it's like "Use as much as you want to save the Earth!" LOL!!!!

Much of the reason for that hysteria was actually because of the Amazon getting trees cut down to develop it, not because of Merl and Becky cutting some trees down in Wisconsin. And they're still clearing out land to develop in the Amazon, lol.
Go away. If you don't like battery mowers, don't participate in the thread. Easy.

That's a great deal. Right now my nearest Costco has them with a 4.0Ah and 2.0Ah for $600. The same one that's on their website for $630.

Well, that's a bummer. When I bought mine (a year ago) it had two 4Ah batteries and the 8 year extended Costco warranty on the batteries. It will burn through the 2Ah battery in about 10-15 minutes, less if in the turbo mode with SP engaged.

I have many GW 80V tools and the 2.0Ah batteries are not up to the task. I've had to warranty 3 or 4 so far. Too bad that last year's deal is dead. Did you actually see the unit at your local Costco and read the contents on the box? I'll look more closely the next time I'm there. The 8-year replacement warranty sealed the deal for me, the 4Ah batteries are ~$240 each.
