Super Slick deal right now. I'm sure it will drop if you give it time, but this is the cheapest way to get to a 4090 (really a 175W limited 4080 desktop GPU) mobile right now. If I didn't have my 3070 laptop, I might splurge for this.

The screen on this is so bad. 300 nits, no g-sync I don't think either. Also based on notebookcheck's review of the 4080 variant and how slow it runs, not sure this is a great product.

Yeah 300 nits on a $2k laptop is unacceptable

This chassis has the worst cooling and throttling.

I hope they changed it up for 2023 but not holding my hopes high. Been waiting for 3 years now

This looked like a bargain, but the laptop 4090 is dramatically weaker than the desktop version. It's almost dishonest to call it a 4090.

That is always the case from full power desktop GPUs to limited power laptop versions. Always has been always will be. A full powered GPU in a laptop would melt everything, possibly literally.

The higher the power the bigger the difference once in a laptop.

Nope. Even the 4080 version is really lacking compared to the competition. That's why I went with the Legion this time around.

Screen has been tested around 370 nits. Please stop with the misinformation.

300 nits was pulled directly from HP's website so if you have a complaint or recommendation it needs to be brought to them. ONE screen may have been tested to 370 nits but that might not be indicative of the overall product line which could be why HP is saying 300 nits. Who knows, but your comment is the one with misinformation as it's going directly against the manufacturer's specs.

Last minute changes are possible and again this has been tested greater than 300 nits.
