i feel like the kasa smartplugs have been fairly regularly roughly ~$5-8 in a four pack, and the 3rd gen dot is regularly ~$20 or less, so i guess overall not a bad price.

I'll be ditching my Echo stuff and switching to Google. I'm tired of all the upselling whenever I ask it to do something. I bought the things to have them do stuff, and not have marketing shoved down my throat.

Weird, I don't get any of that. I do however have Google home to me it seems to be smarter

I'm amazed that 3rd gen dots are still so expensive. They're 4.5 years old and 2 generations behind. They should be more like $10.
