You are right, these Arcade1up are cool but overpriced, they look like overpriced toys. My FIL has one of those you linked and the quality is good.

I agree on getting the Legends Ultimate over this, got it on clearance at Sam's in Melbourne, FL for $349 late last year and have since added a USB drive to run 1,000's of games, including all the Street Fighter games. Plus you get the spinners and trackball so you can play games like Tron and Golden Tee.

You can put Street Fighter on it without too much effort. But if you just want simple plug it in and play it, then get the Arcade1Up. I have a couple A1UP cabinets and the Legends Ultimate. They are all good, just better for different reasons.

Describing the Legends Ultimate cab as a "real sized arcade" is a little disingenuous. Also the legends Ultimate is ugly as sin. So for me it would be even more expensive since I'd have to buy some sort of artwork so it doesn't look so soulless.

That is a great price on that machine. I have an Atgames pinball micro and a Legends Gamer that I got for $120 modded with coin ops X. I also own 4 Arcade 1ups one is modded with Retropie.

The atGames machines require almost no effort to play other games BUT, there are a lot of advantages to the newer 1up machines.

They look a helluva lot better for starters. The Legends looks terrible. U can fix some of that with mods and skins but thats more $$$. The light up marquee, coin door, artwork all add to the experience. Another thing is the screen orientation 4*3 is ideal. None of the games that the games that run on ur machine will use all of that screen. The new 1ups have good controls and also online play and leaderboards. They can also be pretty easily softmodded as they run android. This makes the Street Fighter machine ideal because of the 6 buttons and ideal layout.
