Just ordered to replace my other kit, this is normally $399.99
I originally purchased the 3 tool combo kit with tool box for $199.99 but my drill died after 28 days. The closest warranty center to me is 30 minutes out of my way and Home Depot does not offer warranty repairs anymore according to customer service at my local store. They suggested I either go to the one warranty place 30+ min away, mail the tool, or just return the whole kit and buy a new kit/other items.

Here you are getting one of the batteries upgraded to a 4ah, a full size reciprocating saw, added circular saw, added light, and added oscillating tool.
All and all, this would be a very solid kit for a first time buyer, though the Ryobi link boxes are not the best.

Either kit would frankly be a big improvement for me and I understand they are brushed, which is fine as I am simple DIYer. (Sawzall + reciprocating multi-tool) > (Sander + work light) for me but is there better value to get the Milwaukee brand?

I had an earlier version of the Ryobi, and it performed "OK". batteries specifically struggle vs. the Milwaukee, maybe this version is improved. With that said, either set will do for a home owner / DIY person, I just had a better run with Milwaukee. I have two tool chests atm, one with core tools (saws, drills, etc.) that are Milwaukee, and the other are the speciality / rarely used tools of Ryobi (inflator, rotary, sander, etc). I think both are great brands and you win either way here my friend. The ability to save money on things I'm not going to use a ton with Ryobi has been a great strategy and I wanted to edit to add that tip.
