Completely different use cases. Invincibles are for long/easy/recovery runs, these are for racing/tempo/speed work.

I believe it. There's so many wankers and posers that buy these expensive Nike's. The scientific research has only shown that they help elite runners and by a very tiny amount. A study done in 2021 showed a 2ppt decrease in VO2 for the Vaporfly2 compared to a non-plated control shoe. For an elite runner that translates to about a 2-3 minute cut on their marathon time. No scientific evidence exists that shows a similar improvement on running performance for sub-elite runners.
Hey man, the Ultraboost the other guy said he ran in was sub $200 msrp.

I run races regularly and these are great shoes. I've used these strictly for races (half and full marathons) and they feel like you're using a cheat code. Very responsive and lightweight. I use various shoes for training but mainly Kinvaras. The only problem w/ the Vaporfly was they progressively lost the bounciness after a few hundred miles.

These are garbage Hoka ripoffs. If you are going to pay the premium price you might as well get the real thing.
Huh? You may hate Nikes and love Hoka, but yours is definitely an uneducated (or trolling) take. I'm actually guessing you have never raced in VFs.

Other shoe companies have essentially caught up with Nike on the PEBA type foam and carbon plated shoes (Endorphin Pro, Metaspeed Sky, Adios Pro...even the new Rocket X2 from Hoka), but these are still widely considered the "gold standard" for distance racing shoes. The new Hoka Rocket X2 has been getting rave reviews since coming out a couple weeks ago; however at $250, they are significantly more expensive than this deal at $150 (and most reviews directly compare the X2 to the VF Next %2). Carry on though...

These are good shoes. That group wasn't that slow I was just too fast. Putting on a pair of these just wouldn't have been fair.

People should know these last maybe 300 miles if you are lucky. These aren't daily shoes, they are race shoes. And dam good ones.
We all use them for 300 miles in races and shift them at 400-500 mile too long runs. With that said - the flyknit soles held up better than the these even if they looked like crap after 50 miles where these look virtually new until about 150 miles.

Sheesh, how many did they have in your size?!? $250 dropped to $79? That has to be back wall pricing.

Explains why there seems to be a steady diet of new, torn box variants on eBay from people doing a little arbitrage...
One was back wall, the other came from the stockroom. I was hesitant because I'd never run a full marathon in these.

Even if you don't go faster in these shoes, your legs won't be as beat up after a race.

For those considering these shoes they run a little narrower than other Nike shoes.

False. Bad walking shoe. Because it's so squishy, you sink down, so when walking, your swinging foot will often scrape the ground under you. I've never had this happen to me so frequently when walking to the track. For context, I am 6'0, 185lbs, size 14 shoe.
