Spending $500 to get $200 bonus and earning 2% cashback on everything is not good enough? Find one to earn more than 2% cashback on everything. Can you?
Come on. Do not add pre-conditions to earn more. We are talking about no pre-conditions to earn 2% cash back on everything purchase and you just can't find the card to earn more. If you like conditions such as annual fee, member to open a bank account etc, that is a different thing. People may not like those conditions.

I have Old bad credit (charge offs etc) from decades ago.
But want to use a credit card to pay off a delinquent utility bill to rebuild my credit.
Would this card be good? Or too hard to get?
Or any suggestions from anyone?

You can try the evergreen visa that provides you with the pre-qualified test and has the same benefits as the Wells Fargo does. I have no idea how difficult to get the Wells Fargo Active Cash credit card but one cannot get this card if has applied for the other Wells Fargo credit card within 6 months.

Pay off debt first. Use credit to pay off debt? laugh out loudLMAOLMAOLMAO

Yes. Because then you're not only paying off the debt and interest rates, but using a credit card to make some payments to re-establish better credit.

of course, I can.

There are many cards you can get 2% more Cashback for everything if you know how!...
For example, BofA Unlimited Cash Rewards credit card to give me 2.65% cashback (1.5% plus 75% more for the member)
Of course you can't. You need to find more than 2% cash back but not the same 2% cash back. Bank of American requires the Preferred Rewards member.

Yes, but if you are such a member it's more than 2% cash back

Further, Amex has a card that earns 2x MR points on everything- which if you travel at all is ALSO worth more than 2% cash.

Likewise Chase has one earning 1.5x UR on everything- which again if you travel is ALSO worth more than 2% cash.

$200 for a $500 spend is a perfectly decent signup bonus if you can't afford the higher spend on the larger bonuses- but as an actual card for ongoing use this one is pretty meh compared to other options.... and even THEN there's better $500 spend card signups right now from Chase for example-- which offers 20,000 UR points (which is $200 cash, but again potentially more than that if you travel much) plus 5% back on groceries for a year on 2 different cards (and you can get both- and both also offer bonuses in other categories too)

Now, if you NEVER travel.... well, I'd still take $200 plus 5% back on groceries all year before this one... and it'd give you more reason to obtain BoA status to get their 2.625% on everything option too...
Come on. Do not add pre-conditions to earn more. We are talking about no pre-conditions to earn 2% cash back on everything purchase and you just can't find the card to earn more.
