There is thinkbook too at 488 with 2500*1600 resolution and 16gb soldered ram. More value for money unless you need thinkpad.

Thinkpads seem to have better quality control than Thinkbooks.
Personally I think I'll wait for the Thinkpad L14 Gen 4, which will be configurable with up to 64GB RAM.

Lenovo says thinkbook have been tested with some military tests so I'd say they are better than inspiron or yoga but little behind thinkpad. I have a thinkpad from 7 yrs and apart from heavy built, ease to open - I don't find any other benefit. For most of the user, 16gb ram would be good enough . If not then they probably need a desktop and not a laptop.

I think outlet means a returned item or something is wrong with it, can't pass qc check for a new item, so they sell it through the Outlet store. Maybe I'm wrong.

I vaguely recall reading that the "ThinkBook" is Lenovo's in-house copy of ThinkPad, while "ThinkPad" is still out of Yamato Labs. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM...o_Facility ).

ThinkPad is more premium because it's mostly R&D'd by the same group from IBM.
ThinkBook is very Lenovo's.
