Not the lowest price. Dropped to $27 at the end of last year. I believe its been this price for a week or two so far..

I know Nintendo keeps the prices of it's games high but this was a Wii U game. They need a "Starter" collection where they price games at $20 to bring people into the console. I'd buy this again (I own it for the Wii U) for my switch but I'm not paying more than $20 for it.

My seven year old cheap laptop can run the Dolphin emulator at 1080p. All you need is controllers and you can play every Wii game for free. Just be careful when you download from if you don't want malware there's a place called VI's Lair that is legit and has every game. Just can only have one download at a time

I've given Nintendo a $2000 dollars for my son's Switch so I'm fully okay with the ethics of using an emulator mostly for game they aren't even selling anymore.

If you have a half decent Gaming PC you can even use a Switch Emulator but I've just got a cheap Acer laptop.

The only "legit" and I use that word very loosely to do this is to possess a hackable switch (aka an older one that is exploitable). Otherwise, doing so will 100% fall into the piracy category.

Not necessarily. This is somewhat of a legal gray area...it's legal to own a backup copy of a game you already have (physically). Downloading the system's BIOS, etc may fall under the same logic (if you own it, ok to have a digital backup, maybe) but as I understand it much of this is untested in court.

There was a time when Disney would only bring its classic movies out of the vault for special screenings every several years and only in theaters. Home video made that sense of artificial scarcity irrelevant because you could own a copy. Nintendo wants to re-release and resell the same games on different consoles, which they can't do if you emulate...but that model probably won't hold up forever.

None of those prices are showing up anywhere currently. Not Best buy, not Walmart, not Target, and not Gamestop
