my vote is cheap toy. I own it and none of my friends want it for free. the wheel is centered with rubber bands, the pedals feel awful, no force feedback, and it just feels cheap. I got a used g27 from my local goodwill for the same price and it was an enormous improvement.

I do think it could be great for children.

I have this. And I spent probably the same amount of money to buy a used one. So I'll vote this as a great deal. The wheel itself is about the value you're paying for it. As others said there's no Force feedback. This looks really sharp though and works well enough. I mounted it on I wouldn't frame that I spray painted black and I got a black and red gaming chair so the whole thing matches really nice and looks impressive when people come over. But I'll agree that it's just about an average wheel in general. Great for this price though.

editing to add that I have this on the Xbox One. and it uses a cable which is annoying because it is not very long. again at this price it's good but if I was to do it again I'd want one with four feedback and wireless if possible. the lack of clutch or shift is okay for me since I probably would not play a game that requires a manual transmission but if that's what you want then this is not going to work for you.

I've wanted a wheel forever, but afraid I won't actually like or use one, so investing in a Logitech G920 or similar was a bit daunting.

Is this a good entry level alternative, or is it just a cheap toy?

This is a good casual use wheel. No gear shifter or clutch. Works with a lot of games including Truck Driving simulator and Bus Simulator as well as Forza Horizon 5. Did not work with Forza Horizon 4 unless they later added support.

Its going to be considerably more (I picked mine up new a year or so ago for like 190?), But i still think it's worth it to get a better wheel. If you end up really liking sim racing, you'll outgrow this wheel quickly. You also won't get the full experience since there isn't any force feedback. With the g920 or something on that level, it's still an entry level wheel compared to the others but it'll be so much better. Even with the pedals, for example, these super cheapo wheels are so bad.

I had one for few years and then the sensor went bad where it was steering on its own when I wasn't even touching the racing wheel. When I looked up online, I guess it's a common issue for this model and found a couple of YouTube videos. I followed the instructions and bought potentiometer part from ebay which costed me like $10 and had to use soldering tools to replace the defective part. I ended up selling the racing wheel locally for $80. At this price, new, I'd recommend it, but as others said: "no force feedback or rumble"

I had one of this and I had to returned. Lack of Force feedback make this one worthless.
Go for g920 instead. Much better than this one.

I also have this wheel. I wished I got one with force feedback but I don't play racing games enough to justify the price for one. The biggest problem for me is the pedals are too light. They are all plastic and tend to slide back if I step on them at the wrong angle. The wheel itself is good enough for me.

I can confirm this works on other in-game vehicles than the Ferrari.

without the force feedback, the novelty of this wore off for me in a day and was collecting dust. luckily i offloaded it on ebay.

What's the point without force feedback? If you can't afford one with force feedback, save till you can.

I would highly recommend a used G290 or similar before this. You can get by on the Logitech for a year or so before you'll want to upgrade. Maybe more if you end up enjoying it!
