What state are you in which insurance company? I'm looking for insurance at this moment to purchase after Easter Sunday, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try Costco. It's very reasonable.

My agent has never texted me.. how do I get hold of them to adjust the price?

That's a really good question - when I made the tesla account purchase I was texted shortly after in about 15 minutes.

I mean, 50k seems like the average price for a new car now, have you been to a Jeep lot recently? I couldn't find anything less than 55k and most were 60k+, seems like most car makers are focusing on expensive vehicles and are only interested in raising prices.

In California you can get a Grand Cherokee PHEV that qualifies for 7500 dollar tax credit for ~50k. Hemet Jeep has a ton.

I too got a text as soon as I ordered. I just texted them on the price adjustment.

I'm sorry you missed the 2000-2001 energy crisis. It was fun and unfortunately, a sign of things to come. Millions of residents are impacted by them each year, with NatGeo estimating over 51 million customers were impacted by rolling brownouts/blackouts from 2017-2019. I received a notice last September that effected over 650k customers alone in one day. It's certainly a growing issue as renewable power generation, specifically solar/wind, are not capable of consistent power generation and generally fail to generate more than 10% at peak consumption times. Adding millions of EVs to the road will compound the problem unless some sort of technology or shift in power generation policy is produced.

There's quite a few good sources debunking the myth the "grid can't handle switching to electric cars" but here's one of the better ones from the Engineering Explained guy, with detailed figures, historical data, math and physics and all that good stuff.

Sure, if you have $48,000 in cash laying around and can buy next week. I personally would go with the bolt. It's almost $20k cheaper and pretty much the same car.

I am laughing lol

I talked to a CPA, this type of credit is non-refundable, as someone who doesn't have other income (like from stock investment) and with mortgage interests. I don't see a way that I can get this credit unless I deliberately don't pay tax in my paycheck. If I understand it correctly, non-refundable credit only brings your tax owe to 0, and it will not give you money back.

Non-refundable simply means that your total tax due (regardless of whether you already paid it or not) cannot drop below zero.

They made wrong decisions in hardware and now simple things like parking sensors is not working like regular park assistance. Instead of fixing the issue they are reducing the cost and dumping to the market.

They actually removed that functionality . The new software update added back the camera based sensors.

What happens if you have an existing order ?? I cannot get the lower price? Would I need to place a new order ?

You should get an updated order agreement with the discounted price if you have an existing order.

Reach out to you SA if you do not receive it.

What about the ass*****s dealers who want $7000 over MSRP
I paid MSRP and so have many others. I've never seen a $7000 markup. Usually $2-3k, and if you don't like the markup you just go to a diff dealer like myself and many others have.

But I do believe your $7k markup comment was purposely inflated and exaggerated for whatever reason...

Over glorified brushless RC cars but built worse with fart gimmicks to extract wealth from rich liberals and narcissists that can't do long term math.
Enjoy.

One of the worst and unethical companies who will sale you a car and leave you out to dry once they have your money. Avoid like your life depended on it. Because it does. Self-crashing garbage.

I have the Model X. It doesn't cost 5k to insure.

Tesla is very safe and shouldn't cost more to insure. It's no more than an internal combustion car.
