Sold my 2019 Tesla 3 about 4 months ago and replaced it with a 2022 Tesla 3 long range(358 mi.) dual motor. In 3 years I spent a total of $8.99 who was for windshield wiper fluid.

Lol there's no way this is true.

Tire rotations, air filters, charging, etc;

Cost of ownership is low but not that low.

Source: I have two model 3s. My most expensive replacement was the windshield replacement for 732.48(discounted because of insurance) normally 1300+

Tires would be next. Like 700-800.

Work for an auto dealer so I get discounts.

The reason it was delayed is because they raised the prices and they didn't want to honor your lower priced sale. Leave it to Tesla to be unethical.

Buy a used one. Easy to find and the market is flooded with these things.

So even if your breaker box is 50 feet from your garage and you need to add an additional box they will pay that $2500+?
Or like me, where we added extra lighting, air conditioner, microwave oven, and things, so had to add a sub-panel. Due to lack of power, had to convert my electric dryer to gas to pull the 30 amps to the sub-panel. Do they pull more power to the house for the charger?

Hey wait.... being in CA .... just having cheaper and more reliable power would be a place to start.

Most people who own Tesla's keep getting new ones cause the original one has defects and Tesla won't fix them. Good luck with the new one, same issues.

Not true! I pay $1200/yr for my 2023 model Y LR
I pay only $882/year for full coverage with Costco insurance.

Sure, if you have $48,000 in cash laying around and can buy next week. I personally would go with the bolt. It's almost $20k cheaper and pretty much the same car.

Yea pretty much the same car. They both have tires, windshields, doors, and ac etc

I mean- more than legacy auto?

At least 3 guys ordering the same config Tesla on the same day all pay the same, clearly spelled out, price with just a few clicks.

Send 3 people into the same BMW dealership on the same day to get a price on a car and they'll get 3 different answers depending on who the sales guy is, how knowledgeable the buyer seems, and how hard they haggle with em about it.

That second method seems like a lot more work for inferior results.

Can't wait to pick up my Model 3 Performance on Tuesday! W/ all the incentives in California and Federal, hard not to pass it up.

Also, why can't ppl just let ppl enjoy things 🥲 If u don't like Tesla/EV, then just save ur energy and move on w/ ur life
Because most of the clowns are jealous that they can't afford one.

Yup, you are still clueless and ignorant.

I was seriously considering tesla Model 3 during 2019 with my then 60+ mile/day commute but with WFH during last 3+ years, that is no longer an issue though I need to replace one of my cars. I ended up not buying at that time mainly due to ride quality of the model 3 that I test drove as I was looking for a more comfortable car. I heard that model 3 suspension has changed since then, not sure how much it has improved the ride.

I am looking at tesla now mainly because of tax incentives - especially comparing MY LR with X3 (though with the current EV trends, I may only buy a slightly used X3 if I go that route instead of new as it looks like ICE cars may depreciate very quickly in the next 5-8 years). Anyone else in the same boat?

I do road trips ranging from 300 -900 miles a few times a year and would like to use this car (most of the time, I prefer to do that driving in a single day). Looks like EV adds an extra 20% wait/charging time on such trips compared to gas cars. I am not located in east/west coast. So charging stations may not be as frequent for these road trips (I did check a few routes using Tesla route planning site).

The electric car mandates are upsetting as anyone who does any sort of research into EVs can see they have a lot of problems and are not the future.

What's absolutely disturbing is how it's become politically incorrect to criticize EVs with many message boards and social media sites shadowbanning or blocking you for providing evidence why EVs should not be mandated and why the adoption of them is likely being encouraged because of greed and blind zealotry. Directing anyone towards Youtube and tiktok videos by multiple channel owners demonstrating the serious issues EVs have is also met with hostility, insults and dismissal.

It really seems these people have to learn the hard way and are going full steam ahead with that plan.
