Also there's no such thing as a 4680 LFP battery.
(I mean, you could make one, but Tesla currently does not- the only LFPs they use are prismatic cells from CATL)
And as for the sources theyre using, what's wrong with using pro-Tesla sources? They're a reputable company and have plenty of experts who know what they're talking about. It's not like they are sources that are blatantly biased or unreliable.

Once you drive these things it is difficult to go back to ICE. Also, like i you said, American tech!
Plan was to keep a Tesla and an ICE but that all changed once I owned one.
Get a level 2 charger at home installed and enjoy!

Okay, hold on a second. I think you're oversimplifying things a bit here. Yes, it's true that EVs require resources like lithium and cobalt, and there are concerns about how those resources are obtained and the impact it has on the environment and people in the regions where they're mined. But to say that wars will break out over these resources is a bit of a stretch. It's not like there's a limited supply of lithium or cobalt in the world. And there are already efforts underway to find more sustainable and ethical ways to obtain these resources. Plus, even if there were some conflicts over these resources, it's not like it would be on the same scale as the wars fought over oil. The global economy is not nearly as dependent on lithium and cobalt as it is on oil. So while I understand your skepticism about the environmental impact of EVs, I don't think it's fair to compare it to the conflicts caused by oil. And I certainly don't think it's productive to resort to name-calling and insults when discussing complex issues like this.

it is amazing that we have all these folks that have never driven a Tesla, or owned one, and have not even researched what the company is doing yet they are self appointed expert.
what does manufacturing cost or vertical integration have to do with it? same thing as Apple getting much better prices for panels due to high volume orders.
the simple fact that they have such high profit margin means they can lower prices much more, which is the definition of overpriced. why is that so hard to understand? according to you they can charge whatever they want for it as long as it sells right?

Have you seen how African people are treated who dig for cobalt? The resources used to build these cars make life pretty miserable for the people gathering them. It would be better if we could build an American car from American resources that runs on American sourced fuel. It's possible but will not happen due to cost.

Claiming wars won't be fought over EV resources when one of the biggest wars in the past 80 years is going on in Eastern Ukraine where major lithium deposits are is insane.
