Still can't order an M3 LR? At this point, we're waiting on the potential late 2023 "redesign" update of the M3. Hopefully, the LR will be available immediately.

Yea, my theory is that the m3 redesign will include the lr. And if we're lucky it'll qualify for the full credit.

Has anyone had any luck getting price match for deliveries taken within 7 days before price decreased?
Not possible, no price match after you received the delivery.

LFP 55kwh is only suitable in a model 3. Every 78kwh LiON tends to make more sense in a model y and tesla can make more money off of it.

I had the m3lr and now have m3 rwd and the range feels the same because you can get the lfp rwd to 100% as much as you want, i would only do 80-85% not the LR..

Tesla nickels and dimes you. You have to pay for mobile charger, charger installation, non-refundable order fee, extra delivery fee, etc. It adds up. Chevy doesn't make you pay for any of that.
Listening to some of the contractors that GM uses for charger installation, you might not get that "free" installation they claim for a number of reasons.

Chevy is also the company who has designs to remove CarPlay from their lineup as well, being forced to use their garbage UI is not something I want to be forced to do.

I still don't understand why Toyota doesn't make more of the Hybrids...go into any dealership, even pre-covid, and the hybrids or models with actual battery range were always in very limited supply despite the obvious demand.
Because they are corrupt

Seeing that you've had both M3LR and RWD... would you get the RWD now or wait for the highland refresh for a LR? I live in a northern state so while I think the RWD/LFP might not be ideal but I'm not sure it's worth the cost difference. Likely prices will go down if interest rates keep increasing though.

Toyota is one of the biggest opponents to EV. The CEO said publicly that he doesn't believe in EV and was not going to invest in it, until he had to 😂

They've had the technology for decades and never developed it fully. It was just for show to appease the fakers
They have some of the best hybrids along with Lexus

They do- but at this point "have some of the best hybrids" is a bit like bragging about making the best horse wagons in 1910.

I charge to 90% every day with my LR since 2019. And Scheduled Departure feature makes it trivial to charge to 100% when I need to without battery degradation of holding it at 100%.

You ignore the hidden tax of RWD -- Supercharging.

RWD still suffers Supercharging slowdown from 250kW to 70kW after 80% battery full. You'll charge much longer in a RWD to get the same range as a LR.

How in the world is someone getting 250kW at even 70%? I don't believe this one bit. Our 2021 LR loses those stats wayyyyyyy before that, even before 50% to my knowledge.

Nope. It also has to have a certain % of the battery come from either the US or a country we have certain trade agreements with-- that part of the requirement is what kicks in April 18th.

So a lot of non-Tesla EVs are having their credit cut to $3750 on that date (the Mach E and Bolt for example). For Tesla the only thing impacted is the RWD Model 3 since it uses LFP cells from CATL in China... all other trims of the 3 and Y use 2170 or 4680 cells, all made in the US.

Well- no....

For one- your link is about a roadtrip... 99% of driving is local- and you just charge at home and don't care about fast chargers in the first place.

For the 1% of driving that IS very long trips what your link describes is only representative of NON TESLA EV ownership- because Teslas fast charging network is massive, quick, and incredibly reliable

No.

4/18 doesn't change anything for anybody with Tesla except buyers of the RWD Model 3 config specifically- for them it drops to $3750. For everyone else- no change.

Actually your Tesla does A for you- automatically integrating charging stops if your destination is beyond the cars current range, and even pre-heating the battery for faster charging before you get there.

And other than once, over Thanksgiving, I've never had to wait to use a supercharger....even then it was only ~10 minutes because cars don't tend to need to stop longer than 10-15 minutes with Tesla charging speeds these days.

On the other hand, for the 99% of your life you are NOT on a road trip, it's massively more convenient just charging at home while you sleep and never having to waste time 1-2 times a week stopping at gas stations.

NET time "wasted" fueling your vehicle over any long period is MUCH higher with a gas car than an EV.

First- the car doesn't have ordinary cruise control.... second, ultrasonics primarily a PARKING sensor- and pretty useless for DRIVING.... because their range is only a little over 20 feet. Unless you're only doing like 5 mph you'd hit anything before the sensor noticed it was there.

I mean, it's literally the safest car on the road, but it's your lie, tell it however you want...

Actually they are involved in vastly fewer accidents than the average vehicle

For example in Q4 2022 a Tesla using autopilot crashed once every 4.85 million miles.

The national average for all cars is one crash every 652,000 miles.

So roughly 7.4 times more likely to be in a crash in a NON Tesla than a Tesla on autopilot.

Actually EVs are 10-100 times less likely to catch on fire than gasoline cars.

https://electrek.co/2022/01/12/go...-than-evs/ [electrek.co]

That's a weird claim given how massively Tesla is outselling them.

It's almost like people prefer the vastly safer, vastly better performing, vastly better charging network, vehicle over one that refreshed the bumpers more often or something.

Of course you don't. Thanks for debunking yourself
Love how you cut off the quote so you could "win." Clown.

No such thing as an ICE car and you are deflecting from the numerous explosions that happen when an EV car catches on fire. Criminals torch cars which is included in your statistics.

More EVS catch fire and explode numerous times quickly and for no apparent reason that gasoline cars.
And yet the stats say otherwise.

But you keep being you, wrong.

Except, wait....some people might actually care what their car looks like???

Yes, i guess so are just so above all of us, huh, not caring what kind of car you drive at all. Good for you.

Edit: I am not crazy about the looks of a Tesla either. I get it, it's polarizing. There are some people who love it and some who don't. But at least it's not a Bolt. Don't get me wrong, a Bolt has its place and purpose. A good-looking stylish car, it is NOT. I think every non-Bolt owner (and probably many Bolt owners) will agree to that. I think if you are in a professional building parking lot, being seen walking out of a Bolt would be downright an embarrassment. Ok, some of you are above looks and materialism, good for you. The rest of the world doesn't operate that way. You can potentially find the president of a company drive a Tesla, but you are not going to find one driving a Bolt. Not the president of a real company with 50+ employees (unless he/she is so big and rich he is doing it just to prove a point like Bill Gates). Let's be real hear.

Comparing a Bolt to a Tesla has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. They both have their merits and their weak points, but they are COMPLETELY different types of cars for different target audiences. It's like comparing a Bolt to a golf cart. Both do their jobs well, just meant for different purposes. So stop with the stupid comparisons.

Lmao my boss who net worth end with a B drive a 2023 Bolt. He is very embarrassed about it that he talks about the car daily.

"I guarantee"... 🙄
There is no evidence the world can transition to EVs. It's just not better. The technology has already gone head to head with gas cars over a hundred years ago, and it's not like today's version is markedly better. It still has the same flaws, which is an indictment. After 100 plus years.

It's not smart, it's stupid. And no, just because something is different, doesn't automatically mean it's better, that's the big mistake here.

Of course there is.

You've been provided with multiple sources for it- you simply refuse to read them (or have tried, and been unable to understand them)

It objectively is, which is why the #1 selling crossover vehicle in the US so far this year is the Tesla Model Y.

The Y is likely to be the best selling vehicle -of any kind- worldwide this year. It was already the best selling by revenue last year.

The Model 3 is the #2 selling sedan in the US this year so far, though only a few hundred units behind #1 (the Camry).

If you still think EVs are running on lead-acid batteries for propulsion, or don't understand the VAST differences in current EVs to those from 100+ years ago--- and clearly you don't-- you might want to go and spend some time reading before continuing to FUD up this thread with repeatedly debunked nonsense.
