Good price for Singapore non-stop for their economy lite fare (does NOT include seat selection).

However, you should always try to book directly via the airline web site if possible. Always. That way if there is a schedule change or god forbid a cancellation you deal directly with the airline to rebook instead of going through a 3rd party hassle. The days of a travel agency full service helping in itinerary change is long over - booking.com probably makes just a couple of dollars off your booking from the airline so you can imagine what kind of service you will get in case there is a problem.

Just checked the Singapore web site for some random October dates - 845.35 taxes included roundtrip direct to Singapore from SFO (so about $19 less than original poster quote).
