I always have a hard time with this, always end up with some cracking inside the pot while steaming and making a mess.

I have the Bella version of this. Looks pretty similar. Works great!

I will say to put a small crack after it is done before placing in the ice bath. Makes peeling easier.

Isn't this why you poke holes in the eggs on the more rounded end? Its so as the egg cooks and expands it pushes out the air in the airsack. Otherwise the egg will crack / burst open.

My dad bought a no-name brand and they give a little measuring cup that has a stubby needle on the bottom for you to tap the eggs to make the hole.

What do you mean by quick release and cool, I always have an issue peeling my eggs quickly after refrigerating
