deal just ended last week and a few people receiving their bags report back it's a less than impressive product. Sounds like lots of small pieces and crushed to dust.

I got a few bags last week. Haven't tried it yet, but the pieces to feel a bit smaller. That's always the risk with having charcoal shipped.

I agrre with you on the shipping part. I have not opened my bag yet but it sounds like a lot of broke and are now in smaller pieces.

I picked up some Diablo 40lb at Costco Business center for $20.50 and they are really good size lumps. My second bag so far.

I got this but this time I had it shipped to the store to see if the charcoal stays intact vs. shipping to home. We'll see.

Crappy charcoal tends to have sparks fly off when you use a bellows on it (basically fan it to make it burn hotter).
