Amazon is beating this price by one cent now: $329.99 and $30 coupon, out-the-door price $299.99 [amazon.com] + tax.

I think this is a good deal OP; repped!

Anyone have experience with this unit? The prior generation (WiFi 6, Asus ZenWifi XT8) was reviewed well by PC Mag, CNET, etc.

Is ET8 backwards compatible with XT8. I have the previous generation XT8 and want to know if I can still use them as individual nodes with the ET8.

I have 2 ax92u routers.. one of the first wifi 6 routers and not true when used wireless mesh.
Worth the upgrade? Just have a backlog of routers to sell XD Amplifi Alien, 3 Google nest routers too. Don't think the wife will be happy

Keep in mind this doesn't have a redundant 5ghz band for dedicated wireless backhaul. 6ghz doesn't penatrate walls well.

I'd skip 6e and go 5/6 triband for wireless mesh or go with a quadband 6e system.

I paid this much for one XT8 when it came out.
I have to say, I did come to regret that a bit, especially as the early XT8 software was buggy, but it's been rock solid these last three years.

I did when I was playing around with packet shaping and the stateful firewall. I turned all that off and it's been rock solid. They have way too much software on that thing.

Thanks, Good to hear. Might come back to you for some tips. I ordered the XT9s but worried about all the negative posts I read associated with the whole series XT8, ET8 etc.
