Would you rather it take 20+ hours with a 5 hour stopover in the middle?

I don't understand posts like this lol

I took a similar flight from AA a couple years ago. It was a disaster, they pushed me out of the flights twice, once on departure flight and once on Arrival flight, all confirmed tickets. Will never do international AA routes again.

I did this flight around the same price in April last year and my experience was good. Great price - you can't do better than that!!!

It is a rare occasion when flights are overbooked...it happens to all airlines...does not mean that you will always be a scape goat...

Nothing, I had to call and find flights again. For the departure i had to move to another day, for arrival i was able to get on the same flight again, possibly because i was able to call soon after i saw the change email.

Not sure what happened but Something sounds off. Unless the flight was cancelled you cannot be removed from an operating flight without compensation.

This happened to my mom last year. Booked through AA, codeshare flight on Qatar Airways. Had to retake covid tests and come back again the next day. On the way back home it turned out that upon rebooking the flights agent didn't even rebook the connecting AA flight from BOS to home. Had to immediately book a hotel for her to stay the night in Boston so she could come home the next day. Horrible experience for her altogether. Never had this issue before, I chalked it up to post-covid air travel nonsense.

So, you mean to tell American Airlines didn't offer you vouchers or cash at all? This is hard to believe. Did they actually offer and you turned them down?
