These phones are not cheap for neither the company or us as dealers. The only way the company makes money is by not only attracting customers but by also keeping customers. So, the people that buy 4 iPhones at $50 each and then port to Cricket the next month. Then they jump from Cricket to MetroPCS. They sell the "FREE" or cheap iPhone to someone else for a profit after each jump.
Hopefully this will cut down on this. My stores are in a 98.99 Spanish speaking area, and honestly some of our customers won't pass the ID verification. It may hurt our sales, but I hope it will reduce churn.
Customers still have the option of not doing the ID verification, but they won't receive the best pricing on the better phones without it.
To receive this deal or the iPhone 12 deal, you will be placed in our newer billing system.
There are three possible networks that you could be placed on.
1) Native BoostMobile network. Only available in limited areas, but will roam when out of native area
2) ATT - this is the black SIM card that we use
3) TMO - this is the white SIM.
If you know that ATT or TMO works better in your area, just ask the rep to use that card.
The requirements for the $25 plan are
1) you put the plan on auto-pay
2) you either bring your own device or pay full retail for the device.
It would be a huge money loser to offer the iPhone 11 for $50 on a $25 plan.
You can unlock the phone after 12 months even if you didn't have service for the entire year.
You won't be able to move down to the $15 plan on this though.

Yes, you could.
This is one of the reasons that companies are starting their ID verifications.
If you do this, the company loses a lot of money, and it could negatively impact the dealer who is just a local business person.
Boost isn't garbage. They are the same as any other company. You get a phone. You pay for service. You use the service.
Now, if you are only getting the deal so that you can flip the phone to someone else, then this is not for you.
I honestly don't understand why people change companies constantly. All the prepaids cost about the same. The service is about the same. Some are better in certain areas, while not good in others. But that is true for all.
In your case, skip Boost and go directly to the $25 company. Just don't expect Boost to purchase a phone for you to use with another company.
Do the math. iPhone 11 costs me as a dealer $500. You pay $50. Boost then reimburses me $450 after a couple of weeks. So, the company is currently at a loss on you as a customer. Lets say that you are on the $50 plan, even if their network costs are only $20 / month, they would need 15 months to break even on you.
Like I said, if the phone, coverage, and plan are not right for you, there may be another company that fits what you are looking for. I have actually told customers before that another deal was better when they told me what they could get somewhere else. No company is going to be right for everyone and their needs.

How can your "I'm the victim" sad story be possible?
