$500 might get you a used 10GB 3080. But this is brand new and easily 15% better. Also, with 16GB so you don't have a stuttering mess and game crashes when you max out graphics with RT.
imo i'd go with the amd card. more open standards tends to get good long term support and more vram. the nvidia one performs slightly better in a lot of cases today in 4k but it's not very relevant. this is usually much better in 2k but in a lot of cases it's not that relevant either. this is the card i got last fall, and it was for the extra vram over the nvidia choices and that was before everyone started finally brining up this subject. 16gb to state the ovbious is MUCH more.
Once that's out, AMD will need to drop the price even more to sell the 6950XT.
Flops are a useless comparison point for gamers. If that was the case amd would crush Nvidia almost every time since they don't lock full mixed and multi precision behind their professional products.

Wrong. 4070 at best is a 3080. Good luck with fake frame generation and 12GB.
