If you don't have a cheap verizon plan, then this is not great.

I was eyeing the 11 they have prepaid for $300 that will work on ATT post paid until I did the comparison of the XS Max I got for $200 a couple years ago and this phone is actually much better than the 11 so I decided to wait… and still will at $99

no go. tried both colors VZW upgrade. same error at last step. oh well. hopefully they fix whatever it is and someone else reports back here.

So it will work, but it's either wait 60 days or find a person/company that can unlock. Sickw.com unlocked 3 12s that were Verizon locked for $11, and a couple Reseller for $22, but their source for doing that has dried up. I did figure out that using a new Apple account when you set up the phone allows you to sign up for the free Verizon trial, which will apply the Verizon locked policy. I'm sure the T-Mobile trial would be the same, so if you wanted to use with one of those providers or MVNOs until the unlock it's an option.

Tried purchasing 64GB Black via upgrade with Verizon and ran into the same issues at checkout that some people are having. Have tried ordering via Macbook/Chrome, Windows/Chrome, Windows/Edge, iPhone/Safari, and iPhone/Chrome combos so far, and run into the checkout issue for all methods.

The cheapest Verizon plan is $75/mo. If I keep it until the 60 day unlock period, that will add another $150. Is there any way around that?

I called walmart help center and rep also tried to place the order for me but he also faced the same error. He opened the case to fix the error. If we all call them for same issue , may be they take it on priority.

​Just a thought , not mandatory though. This is not price mistake so should not be an issue calling help desk of walmart.

Not worth it, basically you're paying for the phone and additional service, since the iphone 11 is about $250-275, just do the math.
