This exact PC was on sale, with a LONGER warranty (via Costco VISA, they stopped adding extra years of warranty after Jan 2023), five months ago in mid-November 2022.
Since then, the prices for computer parts have fallen quite a lot for CPU, RAM, SSD, and yet they RAISED the price of this PC by $100.
Even compared to other brands' PC deals that have come and gone over the last 5 months, this isn't that great of a deal. There was the Lenovo PC deal that was on sale just a couple of days ago that was a lot stronger for only $200 more, for example.
2x the performance.
The way I originally read the specs I thought there was an extra/open M.2 slot to add a SSD, since it's listed under "Expansion Slots."
"Expansion Slots: 2 M.2 (1 for SSD, 1 for WLAN); 1 PCIe x16; 1 PCIe x1"
But it appears that is the only M.2 socket 3, Key M, (2280/2242), which is already holding the 500gb SSD that is part of the original build that has the OS on it, correct?

So, is it accurate to say that the only option for adding a SSD is a SATA 2.5"?
Is that what you did? If not, can you please inform me with what you did? Thanks!

Or does strike me as odd that these APUs are being paired with a respectable graphics card. Must have stock to unload?

I just got the vip outlet deal refurb rx 5600g/rx 5500/8gb/256 nvme for 360. Switched out to 2x16gb ram for $60. Total 420+tax. I have a 1TB nvme i'll be throwing in.
Comparing to this deal, the CPU here is about on par.
Ram is equal.
GPU is 2x as good but definitely not $280 better. I saw 6600-xt for $250 the other day and if I wait to upgrade down the line, it will be even cheaper.
I should skip this deal right?
