It would be an ok deal if the ssd and PSU wasn't skimped. But it's a pre-built so expect bottom of the barrel parts.

Yes noted in description that it was 700 dollar during late 2022 sales. Up to folks to decide if they want to wait and see.

For Roblox and lost ark, a decent APU would be fine (ex:5600g).

Diablo will need a mid range-ish card for 1080+ 60fps+, with details. So it depends on how much you will be using it for diablo.
Thanks for confirming what I've been thinking. What I have will work for them, and if I need to upgrade to the 6600xt next year, it should have dropped below $200.

Such a strange combo to have a G APU but have a video card in it, I mean, it might as well had the 5700X instead of wasting space for an unused iGPU.

Its 400w, I don't know enough to say one way or the other but this guy confirmed a bunch of GPU that worked for that particular model.

I'm hoping my current computer survives until the next Black Friday so that I can purchase it then. I'll pull the trigger for sure when it goes to $700 or ideally less.
If you're up for doing your own build, you can build a similar system right now for like $600 [pcpartpicker.com].

Actually, it's a 500W 80 plus Bronze psu. Not sure where you are getting the 300w info from.

The problem comes in that some people dont understand the difference between XMP and JEDEC speeds on their memory. All those people complaining about their memory running too slow bought XMP rated memory, which HP dosnt support.
HP motherboards dont recognize XMP profiles, so your memory has to actually be JEDEC supported speed to run at the required speed.
The real issue is that HP should just support XMP and not be cheap or restrictive to their customers.

Don't bother, it was $700 last black friday, it should be $600 or less by now.
Black Friday is a bit far off, if someone needs a desktop now. LOL

Edit: I think I get your point - don't pay $700, since it was $700 last BF, it should be $600 right now. Smilie

This PC has 32gb, not 16 as you listed. Also you didn't add the price of a windows license. Yes you can run it unlicensed but there is a difference, you aren't Microsoft's beta tester.

I bought a HP Pavilion TP01-2066 Desktop PC (which also uses a Ryzen 5700G, has two M.2 slots, one PCIe X16 slot and one PCIe x1 slot like the system in this deal) two years ago and, like you, wanted to add a NVME drive. I bought a SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 Card [amazon.com] and put a SK Hynix 1TB SSD in it. I am sure there are other NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe x16 cards available but the Sabrent has worked great for me.
Thanks for your tip. You had me excited that I could replicate your suggestion, and was researching which PCIe NVMe SSD card I was going to purchase instead of the 2.5" SATA SSD I originally planned on installing. Then I realized something isn't making sense...

You said you did this with the HP you got which has an Erica6 motherboard, which is very similar to the Erica8 motherboard in this HP VIctus. As you stated, both have one PCIe X16 slot and one PCIe X1 slot. However, the only way to utilize the PCIe X16 slot in this Victus would be to remove the graphics card, as that is slotted into the only PCIe X16 slot. Neither of our mobos have a 2nd PCIe X16. The other/only open PCIe slot available is the PCIe X1 slot.

The product you recommended, SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 Card [amazon.com], can only go into the PCIe X16 slot. It can not be installed into the open PCIe X1 slot.

So, am I missing something? Please educate me, because I believe one of us has to be mistaken.

I did see a similar product, GLOTRENDS M.2 PCIe X1 Adapter with M.2 Screw for M.2 PCIe 4.0/3.0 SSD (NVMe/AHCI Key M) [amazon.com], which could be put into the PCIe X1 slot. However, that would limit the bandwidth to PCIe X1 speeds, which is a significant reduction over PCIe X16, and while it's still faster than the Samsung 870 EVO SATA 2.5" SSD that was my other option, I'd be losing the major speed boost that is the reason for going with a M.2 SSD over a SATA 2.5".

I've included a photo of my open HP Victus with the Erica8 mobo and graphics card, and photos of a bare Erica8 and Erica6 (each from two angles).

It seems to me that I do not have the ability to install a 2nd internal M.2 SSD and reap the speed benefits of recent PCI and NVMe technology, and that the most sensible option is to just use an internal 2.5" SATA SSD. Confirmation and/or more information would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help, or anyone else that can chime in here!
