1.5cf bags.

Menards and Lowes were selling 2cf bags for same price. I've gotten the scotts before, it's not any better than the other brands

It is true that rubber "mulch" breaks down slower than regular mulch. But it does break down, and when it breaks down it is tantamount to toxic waste. It will hurt your plants, your own health, groundwater, and your pets/wildlife. It is banned in many other countries around the world because they have better environmental protections.

If you want a forever "mulch" that's what stones are for. Just get a soil sifter and sift the stones every few years (soil builds up from wind/debris). Even when stone breaks down (e.g. acid rain over tens of years), it just turns to harmless sand.

PS - Technically "virgin" rubber mulch does exist and is safer. But it is incredibly expensive (500%+ more expensive) and isn't sold at big-box stores. "Recycled" rubber mulch contains brake pad particles, heavy metals, and other toxins; that's what I am focused on here. At the cost of virgin rubber mulch you can just buy rocks.

Why? Just get a bulk mulch delivery. I can't imagine throwing away 400 empty plastic bags to mulch plants - it seems so counterintuitive.

Yep. Lowe's has the better deal and it's still going on for a few more days.

Yup, the Lowes deal just ended yesterday, but if the past is any indication, Lowes will probably have the same deal again a few more times this spring.
