There's only like 4 olives in each of those cups, right? Wondering if canned olives from Aldi would be a better deal

Edit: seems to be 55 olives (5 olives per serving, 11 servings per can) in a 6oz $1.25 can from Dollar Tree. Aldi has it for about $2 in a similar size - if Instacarts's prices can be trusted.

That $0.98/ounce is making me have doubts.

Must be a price mistake as this is the usual price for a single 4-pack. But who doesn't like olives?! Not taking a survey here.

I vote for Aldi. Mine carry several different types black, green and brown.

I so want olives in a applesauce cup.

Also fun fact: For those Aldi shoppers, Aldi is in other country's as well like Germany and Austria(as hofer).

Every can I can find besides the Bell's Dollar Tree brand has 4 olives per serving and 11 olives per container. The Dollar tree brand is cheap at 2.3 cents per olive. But they're all six ounce cans, so with the weight being the same those must be smaller olives.

Any other large olives (including Aldi) has 4 olives per serving and 11 olives per can for large. At $1.25 that's 2.8 cents per olive. And here there are 8 olives per cup not 4. (4 per serving, 2 servings per container.) That's 2.6 cents per olive.

But we should be calculating by the fixed standard which is weight! A six ounce can for $1.25 is 21 cents an ounce no matter how many olives are in the can. Where here 28.8 ounces are 4.96 so 17 cents an ounce!

So for me it's a name brand, cheaper than cans, and it's much more convenient. It's just enough per pack for a salad, sandwich, or a homemade pizza. If I'm going to open a can, I'm just going to eat them all anyway, and that's a lot of salt!

This product is just weird. Olives to go? As a little snack cup? Ehh ok, but standard Cali black olives?! Who does this?! Green olives or a Kalamata blend all day.

reality: Aldi is a German/Austrian company, and has locations in the US.

It's 6 Packages x 4 containers. It's a bargain.
