Nice find, but just to save people a click if they aren't interested in that resolution, it's comparing a 3440x1440 to a 2560x1080
A lot of people dumping on this deal. Are there brighter, higher resolution curved monitors with better panels out there? Hell yeah, but not for $200.

My wife works at home, and I picked this up for her to replace a 24"-inch 1080p display she was previously using. She runs three monitors, so this went to the middle of the group. What we've learned from owning it;

This panel is more than bright enough. She sits under a window that lets in a lot of daylight and has no issues seeing the screen. If the window was behind her and the sun was shining right on her desk, it might be another story. But that would be an issue for most monitors out there.

Going wide screen takes some getting used to. It's a bit silly to maximize a program like MS Teams or Chrome, so some Window Management is needed. However, when she works on video editing or Excel documents, she's absolutely in love with the extra room.

Ergonomics suck on this monitor. It has no height adjustment, and the stand that's included is pretty short. We ended up buying a riser for her desk to lift this thing up 5 inches. It does have a 100x100 vesa mount, so you can also get an arm for it as well.

Sitting right in front of it, we don't notice any issues with viewing angles. Even sitting to the side, it remains crisp and the colors aren't washed out.

She's been using it for 3 months now, and still comments about how much she enjoys having it. I'm sure if she sat down at this display and a $600+ curved display she'd notice a difference. But that doesn't make this a bad display and she has no complaints, which makes this a great deal in my book.
Buy a curved. I recently bought my wife curved and non-curved 34" ultra-wide (3440 x 1440) monitors for home office use so that she could compare. It was not a close call. The outcome was made obvious by just watching her move her head around constantly on the non-curved panel. Her regular use is having 3 sets of portrait documents open for constant reading, referencing, and writing.

If you buy a curved, make sure the curve is sufficient. I'd recommend nothing less than 1800R. 1800R seems to be a solid balance on this size of monitor for office use. It's enough to angle in the sides for comfortable use while not being so curved that text is distorted (I'd previously used a smaller higher curved monitor and found the distortion on text to be less than appealing for office use; the 1800R on 34" ultra-wide does not exhibit such noticeable stretching (perception-wise).

If seems like most of the people using this monitor is more for an office setting? If so, nits is very important to me. I work in a bright environment and resolution is less important for that media. Was just trying to suggest something else in case people wanted a brighter ultra wide since not many of those exist under $300. I wasn't trying to take over the thread.
I use this at home in an office that gets a lot of sun - I do a lot of web work and spreadsheets etc and it's plenty bright as long as the glare isn't on it directly.

Overhead lights are not an issue

I've had this monitor for a few years and it's a farking beast for the price. I use a curved monitor at work and this monitor at my home pretty equally. There's not much difference to me but to each their own.

Great deal for home/remote user. I will admit, it looked like crap at first, but after adjusting display settings and using 2560 x 1080 (I have a 8 yr old PC!) it looks great. Can't beat it for $200. Don't expect any fancy software for splitting displays and such. There's a very remedial button on the back which cycles through some split options for hdmi/hdmi2/display, etc... that's it.

I have 3 of these monitors. First was bought at Costco about 3 years ago and next 2 came from Walmart about 2 years back.

Each has been over-clocked to 100hz since taken out of the box. While they've seen gaming, their primary use is business in the office or at home.
I do not like curved monitors for business purposes (office apps, designs apps, trading apps, fusion360, legal docs, etc.). May not be the case for all, but I prefer flat for any "productivity" work. On my gaming and simulation rigs, I prefer curved all the way - again, personal preference.

Every time these monitors pop up on here for 200, I am tempted to buy another and figure out a use later.

So this is appropriate for using excel, word, outlook and some work related websites?
Awesome for that. Use it for all those things. It snaps into three columns nicely using Windows 11.

Just wanted to second this. I bought during the last deal and was reluctant because of the monitor geeks critiquing this stat or that. Then I remembered I'm not a gamer…don't even use transitions in my PowerPoints. For anybody looking to set up or upgrade their home office this is an excellent choice. Pair with this arm for <$40 for increased desk space and custom height/tilt: https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/818636

I have this Samsung monitor and I sit beside an east facing windows that is very bright in the morning. No issue.
I also connect this monitor to a Dell XPS 17 laptop.
Use the Windows 11 screen split feature to split this 34-inch monitor into half.- e.g. two 17 inches screens and I sit about in the middle on the center line of the monitor.
Thus, I face in total of three 17 inches screens (2 from this Samsung monitor and 1 from the laptop)
Loves the simplicity of the setup and it has been perfect.

So, how does it compare to 3 x24" monitors in vertical set ups? It's not 4k, or 6k so there's gotta be something you give up. and its 75Hz.

If you edit fast 4k videos, I'm assuming you may see a lot of blurs. also having 3 documents windows may be smaller than compared to 3x 24" 1080p monitors??
So was wondering the size, maybe go up 42" for 4k or larger curved monitor(with 120 or 144hz)?

Got this for the same price at Wal Mart a few months ago. Been using it at work next to a giant sunny window and it's totally fine for office use. Takes some getting used to an ultrawide but it only took me a few days to adjust.

I forgot to add in my previous post that the monitor in this post is the exact non-curved monitor I bought to compare to a curved monitor (Walmart $199 deal). While it was returned for the aforementioned reasons (no curve), the quality of the monitor itself was fine for office/school (reading/writing) productivity.

In fact, I now recall this having really good lack of back light bleed (which I find generally annoying and test for although in this instance it was more out of curiosity given the issue is irrelevant for the use case).
