same, by the time i convinced myself to buy it, it was gone Smilie
i'm still not 100% sure the installation tool is going to do anything new/better for me, especially with that obnoxious handguard thing... but for the price with the ratchet, it's worth a shot. also had a 50$GC, so all the better.

Same here, and I have been kicking myself since then. I was torn between this and the mini sawzall & ratchet combo.

Nice price - these don't go on sale often. Got this same kit a couple years ago for $200 - zero regrets. This is the first drill/driver I reach for (despite now having their Gen 3 Impact + Hammer Drill set), and it can do basically anything a homeowner would ever ask of it aside from drilling holes in masonry/concrete.

People make a way bigger deal out of the 'knuckle guard' than is really warranted... it holds bits, and it's still one of the lightest/most compact drills they offer.

You can turn the heads in any direction so the handguard wouldn't get in the way of any off set right angle work if you set it properly.

I use this drill 5 days a week for appliance repair and the utility has been invaluable. Love the hand guard with magnet strip for holding all of my screws. Took a while to get used to the top button control though.

Out of Stock. This is Home Depot's sneaky way of getting your email to notify you when it's back in stock.

They do still have the drill driver, 2 x CP2.0 battery, charger, and bag kit (2505-22) with an extra XC High Output 5.0Ah Battery (48-11-2450) for $199.00 [homedepot.com].

That certainly didn't last long... but if you're really interested, check back again occasionally - sometimes these Milwaukee HD deals come back in stock for a little while.

it's just 100% unnecessary is my only complaint with it... and i can see it easily getting in the way when working on something that has a lip/recess and would require longer bits to get further away.
i own both M12 and M18 impact and hammer drill set, along with a mix of other stuff that Milwaukee makes better than my Ridgid and DeWalt set offer (like their rear handle circular saw and hole hawg)... i'm sure i'll find a use for the installation tool or maybe i'll just gift it to my sister inlaw hug

i totally agree though, it's a fantastic set for homeowners... i'd certainly recommend it to anybody that i know is just going to be doing light work around the house (like people that use power tools to put together Ikea furniture Wink)

I love this thing - got it a while back and it's probably one of my most-used Milwaukee tools. It takes a little getting used to and I do wish the forward/reverse switch was a side-to-side rather than push button on the top (this makes it a little awkward to switch at times). Other than that, it's really versatile.
