I did it when I started a small business, very small, building small garden stuff, shutters for the farmer's market when I retired. It quickly got out of hand so backed off.

I also have a vet discount and between the two I score. The Pro discount suprises me upon occasion when I get those deals. The Vet discount is pre-loaded now on every thing I look at at HD. And you are building points...but really need to be a Pro for them to do anything as you gotta spend a lot for them to add up.

I don't think it's a great deal overall, but I do like my non fuel ratchet. I don't need a lot of torque from it. I paid $67 for it though.
