Most do. Go to your task manger check how much is actual free memory there after using your system for a while. Be aware of the memory used as cache
I did pay about $190 for these several months back - but back then the dual rank ones were well over or near $250. Also the question is have DRAMM prices have hit rock bottom yet??
As to whether more or faster memory is better is also "it depends"
I have never had a set of Corsair Vengeance LPX fail to run at XMP speeds & remain stable, on any motherboard I have ever put it on. And that's a lot more than can be said for G.Skill, Team, Mushkin and a lot of other brands. Your mileage may vary. No vendor will claim you can mix random sticks of their product from different production lots.

Just because an OS will cache system files in RAM, that doesn't mean all your applications access them and give better performance. I run 128GB in my system, but I know exactly why I needed it and purchased accordingly. A valid and indisputable reason for buying this kit is compatibility with air coolers or sandwich-layout ITX systems. If you need cooler compatibility and your mobo supports XMP and you know you need a lot of RAM and have NVMEs using HMB... then sure this is a good price for 2x32GB.
For MOST consumers, the same $120 that this memory costs would be better spent on a Gen 4 NVMe drive.
