Comes with usb Bolt receiver, which is more secure than the unifying usb receiver (but not compatible with devices that work came with a unifying receiver). I needed a wireless keyboard for my mac mini, but I wanted to connect it to my monitor's KVM. Plus, I didn't want to pay 100 bucks for a good one, used versions of these sale for 75+ bucks

Probably personal preference, but the newer apple magic keyboard (that has lightning charging port instead of AA batteries) has ridiculous light feedback and shallow travel distance for me. Typing experience is even worse than the 2018 MacBook Pro i have. (I also have the 2021 MacBook Pro, which has much better keyboard).

My daily driver keyboard is a ThinkPad keyboard, but the lack of functional Fn key is sometimes annoying.

I also have that apple magic keyboard mentioned in the first paragraph. It's been sitting in my drawer ever since the second day i got it.

Personally, the Apple mouse is one I do recommend over the others because it has TONS more capabilities. I'll get other keyboards, but I keep the Apple mouse. I love the swipe capabilities.
(using Apple mouse with Logitech keyboard now)

Though subjective, it actually feels better than the Magic Keyboard. Easy to switch between multiple devices, especially if you are using Logitech Flow with Logitech pointing devices. The only think you would be losing out will be keyboard integrated Touch ID depending on the Mac/Magic Keyboard that you have.
