These are Jordans, so they don't fall into the regular Nike category. They aren't "latest" or "greatest", they aren't a "fashionista shoe", and they aren't really being bought to play sports in (though people sometimes do). I collect Jordan 1's of all styles (and so do many thousands of others). I wouldn't buy any other Nikes unless they were heavily discounted, but I'd buy a 1 at retail price most of the time.

These are Jordan's. Different ball game than just regular Nike shoes. Mids just aren't as popular, it's also not a great colorway. I've bought plenty of Jordan's at retail, I'm also a LSU fan and i havent pulled the trigger on these. I just dont like the yellow toe

Mids are fine they just aren't as desirable for the sneakerheads. Lots of us just like the look of jordans and especially 1s. We wear then and enjoy them. Just like any other product, some versions are more valuable than others. Demand certainly isn't plummeting just because some 1 mids go on sale
