Opposite experience for me. They replaced two original floodlight cameras for me with very little hassle. Then sent me Floodlight plus cameras as replacements..

Would these work in a screened off porch and a detached garage that's not finished off? Can't justify the $50 for the outdoor sensors…

Several years ago, I had some challenges with Ring and one customer service rep told me to ask for a 40% off discount whenever I call to order new equipment.

I've done this many times and I've gotten the discount every time. I simply say "I was told to ask for the discount and if you look at my account, all of my purchases had this discount" or words to that effect.

I'm not sure if my account is flagged for it, but could be worth a phone call.

Btw: personally I've found ring CS on warrantees for things items like this to be boardline (if not outright) useless. Only go thru then if your time is worth nothing. When my first contact sensor stopped working and I called for a replacement they wanted to pass me around on the phone for over 1/2hr. Geez. They'd rather pay the salaries of multiple CS over replacing some $20~30 items? Long story short I just hung up & bought a box of new sensors. I advise you to pick up a pack or two for spare and save yourself the grief of dealing with ring CS.
Similar experience. I had a sensor (out of 8 in a bundle) that runs down battery abnormally fast. It takes 3 months to run down a new CR2032 battery (the first cycle took 8 month), compared to years for the other sensors. Contacted them at around the 11th month mark. They insisted I put in a new set of batteries and put it in a different location that is closer to the hub (despite the fact that all other sensors are functioning healthily, and none are unusually far from the hub). I complied and swapped it to a location much closer. 3 months later it runs out again and they said I'm outside of warranty and would only replace it if I am a subscriber.

I still has the bad sensor as a decoy. I might pick up 2 from this deal to replace it.

Do you have to purchase from Ring.com then? Do they place your order over chat, or do they apply the discount after you placed your order?

I've never seen a discount for the subscription itself.
I meant the discount on the sensors as part of the ring protect plan benefit. I have a legacy ring protect plan that they do not offer anymore.

Either way, the 10% discount does not apply to these (per ring customer service). Sucks cause I have about 25 windows I need to cover.

OP should remove the $62.49 price for ring subscribers... the price is $69.99 for everyone.

edit- I'm wrong. It's showing up for me now.

If you're looking for a huge expansion - e.g. lots of different pieces/components, sometimes it's worth it to just buy one of the "kits" that shows up every now and then. Those typically include a whole assortment of sensors bundled together with the home base piece. Per-piece they are usually high value, just don't use what you don't need.

I don't see my Ring Protect discount. Did you do anything to make it apply?

It just showed up for the total price. There was no specified discount. I bought three sets of six for a total of $200 shipped from ring.
