No need to buy such an expensive watch just to track small children. Just buy an airtag and a watch bracelet airtag holder made for kids. They sell them on Amazon

You must be high. Even the Apple Watch 4 which is two years older than the SE 1st gen is getting WatchOS 10 coming in September

The price is good, but it is hard to recommend this to anyone given its age and limitations. The SE 2 is much more capable and has gone on sale for $210 in the past. If you really need an Apple Watch I would recommend saving up for the difference in cost and buying the SE 2 instead.

Other than a newer processor, they are identical. For $100 less.

I just wanted to use this as an airtag for tracking my small children. Do u need the cellular version for that or will GPS version operate like an airtag?

No need to buy such an expensive watch just to track small children. Just buy an airtag and a watch bracelet airtag holder made for kids. They sell them on Amazon

I own this watch and it's held up great. Still gets new updates all the time as well. I have had mine just a little over a year. For myself, I haven't seen a reason to upgrade.

Good deal if you don't mind not having the newest version.

Oh yeah, I'm sure that thing is a pain to use. You also can't run the latest watchOS version.

There have been so many Apple Watch "deals" listed lately. Wonder if they're dumping inventory in advance of a new release soon. There's so little difference between models the past few years, maybe Apple finally have something interesting coming out beyond a new watchband.
