Sorry if this is a stupid question, but would this be good to run Excel and Chrome on? My wife needs a no frills PC for paying bills and surfing the internet while at work. I have a KVM switch already I just need something basic for her to use as her work laptop is locked down.

Should be pretty good for that.

5600H offers Apple M1 level CPU performance. Basically for $299 you have a machine running Windows Pro with 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD that fast enough for most basic tasks.

Looks like this would be great for a replacement cloud computing box or a nice living room PC for streaming stuff.
I'd like to put a PC in my living room. Any recommended media center applications that are kid friendly?

Is this good for running Adobe software? What about black magic resolve?

Also anyone actually have this and can give feedback? How long to get from impeded date, how easy to install is,etc?

Is it better to get barebones and buy ram , he separately?

Mixed reviews on site.

Thanks.

How hot do these run? Thinking of picking up the 5600H for the in-laws, but they live in a warm climate.

Curious about using this as a virtual pinball machine (connected to the Atgames Legend Pinball). Should be able to run steam games pretty easily on this right and other pinball emulators on this right?

Yes and no. Great specs but HW trans-coding is only supported in Windows for Radeon graphics. Intel graphics trans-coding is supported in Windows and Linux
It will do software trans-coding with a breeze though. Probably enough juice to easily run 7-8 1080p trans-codes without missing a beat.. If you are talking 4k though..that's where things get iffy.

i'm using amd ryzen 5 pro 2400ge. this should be at least twice as fast.
mine is an hp and I was able to put 64gb of ram to use for transcoding.
Extra RAM does not do much for transcoding

Does it really come with Windows 11 pro license if I order 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD version? I can't believe just extra $80 gives RAM, SSD, and Windows 11 Pro.

Bought a um560xt barebones. Have a spare stick of ddr4 laying around and some spare adds to make good use of.

Replacing a setup that is 2 raspberry pi 4s. One runs home assistant and the supporting stuff in docker. The other runs Plex and is my download box. Hoping to greatly simplify with the one powerful machine running proxmox.
