On compatibility, the main item in this pack is an AC power coupler that fits into the battery bay. Obviously this one only fits into the Rebel line mentioned.
I've been using a cheap Chinese knockoff one I bought on Amazon for my M50 and it works just fine and cost a similar price here. If this official kit doesn't fit your Canon camera I would just get one of those Chinese ones instead, no sweat.
It's just a plastic box in the shape of the battery that houses the metal contacts.
