Great find, too bad these won't work for me as they're .1" larger diameter than my bumper plates (everyday essentials / balancefrom). I use a mix of iron and bumper for deadlifts and these would pretty much nullify the usefulness of my bumpers. The rubber coated option would work at 15.6" But those are 2" thick, and space on my trap bar is already pretty tight.

I noticed that as well with the Balance form bumper plates. Those bumper plates were sightly smaller than the cast iron. ughhhh

Out of curiosity, are your bumper plates all slightly different diameters? I got the 160 lb set and the 25 and 45s are pretty much the same, but the 10s are like 1/2" bigger...

I got 2 of the 160 lb sets of bumpers. The 45s and 25s are all the same. The 10s are all slightly different and a couple are even out of round. Overall, I'm still pleased with the set, though I'm close to running out of space on the bar for deadlifts.
Back on topic, this is a good deal for classic cast iron plates. Used sellers are still asking $1/lb or more in my area for rusted and mismatched junk. Rogue's imported cast plates are nearly 2.5x the cost shipped.

Over the years I've amassed my free weight collection through Craigslist and FB marketplace. I've been able to buy my weights at .25 to .50 cents per lb. People hate to move exercise equipment. I guess the thinking is I haven't used it in ten years no use taking it with me. Hope this saves people some money.

Great suggestion. I've been able to built a great home gym with this strategy. Of course it take a lot of time. The only thing I struggled getting were plates like these.

Thanks for the comment. I was about to pull the trigger, assuming they were smaller diameter than the bumpers. Time to contemplate the rubber coated...
ordered a pair, May 21st delivery. I was thinking tis was april 21st, lol. oh well, I still want them, but i might find some on marketplace by then. $1 a pound seems to be the current used buy/seel price in my area.
Two reasons I can think of: (1) durability-the center hub/sleeve will eventually loosen up on bumpers if they are dropped as intended; and (2) capacity-if you ever plan to lift more than 450 pounds or so you will run out of room with bumpers on a standard barbell.

If your doing heavy bar pressing or squats and putting on and taking off 45s a lot, having a lip or a handle makes it easier. I made this mistake.

Rubberized is also the same price.
