All owners, not just original. This is the last Google/Pixel phone with this feature. Unlimited storage saver quality backup for all photos/videos uploaded from this phone.

Upgrading after the pixel 5, you'd be out of luck for the unlimited backup feature. I'm on a 7 now (from a 5) and miss my 5. I ended up buying a OG pixel with a bad battery that stays plugged in as a photo transfer server to still get the unlimited backup feature.

I use Amazon Photos (Prime) for unlimited storage. Any reason to switch?

That would be a valid reason, lol. I only use it for photos I take of stuff I sell online, especially to Amazon customers who tend to have a higher return abuse rate than ebay or my own site.

I'm assuming that buying this phone and then upgrading doesn't transfer the unlimited video to the new phone?

I bought one when they had them on amazon for 165 or something, it's a great and smooth phone, would have definately liked this price better but still happy with the phone overall.

Comes at a good time for me as was just looking to pull trigger on the pixel 7 or 7 Pro. Would be good for anyone looking to trade in for pixel fold or 7a which come in a few weeks too. Google store says trade in value is $320. Anyone have experience of trading in with Google store and how the estimated value holds up?

As a person who uses a Pixel 4 XL specifically for unlimited storage as storage saver, let me be the first to tell you that Pixel video quality is not great a storage saver. It's a pixelated mess. Photos are fine, I can barely tell the difference, but videos aren't worth the trouble, especially in tough lighting situations.
