In some cases it's a rebranding of HP (just a different label/mold) but some of the models were discontinued, like the 3AH that used superior cells.

Ryobi's had a few "better" versions of lithium batteries over the years (Still have a few Lithium+ batteries), but HP/High Performance is the first line that officially offers better performance using contacts that allow for more current draw.

Fast chargers are overrated. A fast charger will lower the life of your batteries over the long-term. Stick with the standard chargers unless you really need the quick turnaround. Instead of fast chargers, I wish they made slow-chargers that would charge slowly overnight.

One of my batteries was dying, so perfect timing. I have the miter saw, and one worked for hours and still had plenty of charge

This is a great deal. Bought these without the charger for $99 last year. If you use a tool for more than 20 min, you will thank yourself.
