Warning, the display on this laptop uses PWM strobing at all brightness levels. Some people are sensitive to this and report eye strain and headaches. This is a slow-motion video I took of this laptop on the right and a regular LCD laptop on the left. I ended up returning it.

I have this laptop, which was also purchased Open Box-Excellent from BB a few months ago.

It's great. 16GB RAM is perfect for 95% of users. The screen is incredible. Keyboard is solid, the trackpad is excellent.

The only thing that could be improved is the battery life, so if you plan to be mobile a lot, maybe get something else. But if you plan to use this as a workstation at your desk, you'd be hard pressed to get a better deal than this thing. It really is that good.
Just FYI everyone, this laptop was $799 brand new just recently.

How bad is the battery life in your real experience? The spec says 12 hours and the battery is very high capacity at 96Wh - I expected battery life to be quite good.

I have the Intel Arc a370m version of this and it's awesome! I just recently upgraded to a gaming laptop with a 4070 and I'm sad to say that I'm not going to need it anymore. Build quality is awesome.

Maybe my battery is just a dud then, cuz I'm lucky to get 6 hours out of it if I'm doing standard web browsing.

I've had bad luck with Best Buy Open Box lately. I bought 2 open box excellent laptops and both were broken. 1 didn't boot and the other had a bunch of smudges on it and the fan makes a very loud ticking noise

I'm eyeing the Arc370 version now. It was on sale recently for $999. Both laptops went on clearance now which is somewhat surprising because I don't see an equivalent new version from Asus. I'll be watching it, hopefully the price goes down further.

From what I hear the Arc370 is garbage. Like actually makes a worse experience vs iris Xe integrated graphics

Oh, really? I don't know, the reviews I've seen say it's comparable to low-level NVidia and leaps over Xe.

The reason I was thinking it might be worth over Xe is dedicated video RAM. Since this laptop comes with 16GB RAM and is not expandable, I was thinking I wouldn't want Xe take any memory away from the applications.

Otherwise I don't care for a graphics card as I don't game at all.

If you don't game I would just go with the Xe. Maybe the ARC will get better but it's software driven for all the headaches. If it performed like it should it would be better but due to bad drivers it causes problems even on every day stuff. Honestly kind of shocked that any laptop makers put this in their flagship products. I'm guessing Intel paid them a boatload to do so, or gave it to them for free at least.

I have this laptop with the A370M.

Previously had a laptop with Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EU and the A370M is definitely an improvement - in my experience the Iris Xe was slower and choppier and the A370M is faster and smoother.

I use the laptop for content creation, not gaming.
