I have this laptop, which was also purchased Open Box-Excellent from BB a few months ago.

It's great. 16GB RAM is perfect for 95% of users. The screen is incredible. Keyboard is solid, the trackpad is excellent.

The only thing that could be improved is the battery life, so if you plan to be mobile a lot, maybe get something else. But if you plan to use this as a workstation at your desk, you'd be hard pressed to get a better deal than this thing. It really is that good.
Do you think this performs better than the s 14x with the same processor? I bought the s14x from the Newegg deal in December and even with an added 32gb ram I am disappointed. I run charting software and 3 external monitors, don't even use main screen. It lagged and froze frequently and I had to run my discord and 2 webpages on a separate laptop. Kind of sad this thing is outperformed by an older machine. I'm not running anything else, stripped down and constantly plugged in with battery settings for performance. Temps are not hot, under 90c. I need another unit, but don't want to make the same mistake again.

Warning, the display on this laptop uses PWM strobing at all brightness levels. Some people are sensitive to this and report eye strain and headaches. This is a slow-motion video I took of this laptop on the right and a regular LCD laptop on the left. I ended up returning it.

Thanks, would have had to return it. The Dell XPS 15 OLED is the same way.

I bought an Open Box "excellent condition" laptop and it had a huge, deep scratch in the middle of the screen. No problem to return, but it was a hassle.

I had to return a Lenovo Thinkbook OLED (90Hz) for this reason. Gave me bad eye strain. Surprisingly, my new P11 Pro Gen 2 OLED (120Hz) doesn't seem to have this issue at the brightness levels I use it at, and I can't detect flickering even with the super slow motion mode of my S22 ultra, so I was hoping the newer 120Hz OLED panels on laptops would have also reduced PWM flickering. Disappointed to see that it is still an issue.

What was the brightness level set to? I am okay with PWM at very low brightness levels where I hardly use any of my devices as long as they switch to non PWM dimming at say 50% and above brightness levels.

Yeah, same result with my Lenovo 14p even at 100% brightness. The flickering got a lot worse at lower brightness levels, as expected with PWM.

Is the graphics chipset ok enough for the most basic of 4k video editing? If not does someone recommend a minimum chipset/dedicated card?

Also fair warning, a screen captured on camera looks very different than it does in person. Y'all remember how CRT screens looked on film vs in person? Not saying this problem doesn't exist, but I doubt it looked exactly like that.
